mix sugar in water and spray the cookies with it, if you want the look of the sugar you can then sprinkle more on but the water with sugar will put that flavor on them

Put a liitle blob of this icing in the middle of the already baked and cooled cookies and then affix the kiss and let it dry.
Sugar Cookie Icing
“This icing dries hard and shiny and the colors stay bright. Choose as many different food colorings as you desire.”
DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, stir together confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup.
Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity. Dip cookies, or paint them with a brush

you need to put the Kiss on right after it comes out of the oven..it will melt little but then it will be ok as it cools..also, before you bake them, put a thumbprint in the center so that it bakes with a dent in the center for easier placement of that Kiss!!
And just in my opinion, peanut butter cookies rolled in just sugar before baking taste best to me!! No icing needed!

Dip in melted chocolate, halfway up, both sides of the cookie, ( either traditional brown chocolate or white works, almond bark would work), and roll in chopped peanuts, other nuts, candy sprinkles (any color/flavor), coconut, cookie crumbs could work…colored sugar, maybe cake crumbs, brownie crumbs
